"City Sunset Shapes". I did shoot today...trust me I did. But I have not processed any of the images yet. I'm posting this for today. It was one of a few alternates for the Shapes Challenge. As much as I like the contrasts of the barrel vault roof of the Kimmel Center against the red and neutral tones of the Uniiversity of the Arts building, I thought I have Kimmeled myself out a bit last year, so I went with something else. Hope I didn't make the wrong decision, but I mostly do when it comes to shooting for a challenge....I either get too many and don't choose the best one or I get something that sort of works and ends up doing awful. Oh well. Guess I better start being a little more discerning or more imaginative. Maybe.
I shot this in between String Band performances during the Mummers Parade on Sunday. I think the composition and angle might have been better but I just couldn't get any closer to it because of the grounds at the parade. I was also trying to keep a traffic light and flag pole out of the frame so this was the result.

I love the lines and deep contrast in this photo. Very nice!
No wonder you take a lot of architectural shots.. Philadelphia seems to have been structed for this purpose :)
Very interesting composition here. Lines are really good.
