Went to the Mummers' Day Parade, well actually The Philadelphia Mummers New Year's Day Parade, that takes place each year in Philadelphia. It is full of great customes and colors. For more information about Mummery and the parade, see: http://www.mummers.org/ . I went for the String Bands, the last segment of the parade. Lots of music, people, boisterous, happy, and even religious there being a street corner preacher with a microphone and speakers on one corner. I was supposed to hook up with Jeremy Lelii (jmlelii-DPC) and his new Canon 20D but I never heard from him....ran into him on the way home from work on Friday night. But...I am pooped....I got about 250 shots to weed through. So here is one from the Parade. Members of the Quaker City String Band who are always one of the top bands. And one of the Fralinger String Band who won first place in the 2003, 2004 and 2005 parades and this year as well.
